Vanadium
Whilst having significant deposits of vanadium bearing titaniferous magnetite Australian interest in this metal was largely restricted to research on vanadium recovery from spent catalysts carried out by AMMTEC in the mid 1990's.
With the full feasibility study on Precious Metals Australia's Windimurra deposit by Signet Engineering and AMMTEC, together with subsequent mine approval, the remaining known deposits of vanadium began to be evaluated. AMMTEC are currently doing intensive testwork on several vanadium deposits Australia wide.
