AMMTEC expands Mineralogy Division
Having extensive experience in the use of Automated Mineralogy Analysis (AMA) instrumentation and applications in the areas of mining and mineral processing Ammtec has extended the divisions capability with the acquisition of additional instrumentation and personnel to support business within the petroleum industry.
Ammtec is in the process of adding MLA® and XRD instruments to existing QEMSCAN ® capabilities. The talented mineralogy team which includes mineralogists Dariusz Rosiak, Greg O’Connor, Ian Lach and ex CSIRO Automated Mineralogy researcher Dr. Chi Vinh Ly has been supplemented by Business Development Manager Mike Dowen and Geotechnical Advisor Professor Joseph Hamilton who both have extensive Petroleum Industry experience , that include applications of AMA, NMR and advanced geochemical techniques in the exploration and development of hydrocarbon resources.
Ammtec is currently undertaking integrated studies from Australia and SE Asia that utilize AMA analysis to resolve complex stratigraphic ,petrophyics and reservoir quality issues.
