AMMTEC APPOINTS NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Ammtec announces the appointment of Peter Rowe as a non-executive director. Rowe, who holds a Bachelor of Science (Chemical Engineering) and has extensive international mining experience replaces Ammtec’s founder Graham Lloyd who retired at the AGM in October.
Rowe commenced his career with Anglo American and De Beers before relocating to Australia where he held a number of senior managerial positions. These included project director of the Fimiston expansion, general manager of the Boddington Gold Mine and managing director and CEO of Bulong Nickel. He is also a past chairman of the Australian Gold Council.
Peter joined AngloGold Ashanti in 2004 as head of their Australian operations and transferred to Johannesburg to take up the position of executive officer with responsibility for the corporate technical group in January 2006. In 2007 he was appointed executive vice president – business effectiveness.
Peter has recently retired from AngloGold Ashanti to return to live in Australia.
Ammtec’s Chairman, David Macoboy welcomes Peter Rowe to the Board, commenting that he will add valuable corporate and international mining experience to the existing Board.
