No matter how well the metallurgical testwork programme is performed it all comes apart if the final assaying is in error. All to often samples are sent out to commercial laboratories specialising in exploration type assaying. These laboratories do not have, nor can they realistically be expected to have, experience in the assaying of complex concentrates typically produced in metallurgical testwork.
In 1989 AMMTEC made the decision to do assaying in-house and today the assaying facility is both highly sophisticated and internationally recognised for the high standard of assaying.
