SMC Testing

In recent years the SMC test has become one of the cornerstones of comminution testwork as a cost effective means of generating design data for comminution circuit performance. Over 10,000 SMC tests from mineral processing sites the world over have been conducted by AMMTEC and others and the test now stands together with the Bond Work Index suite as a default repertoire for comminution programs.

AMMTEC conducts the SMC test under license from SMCC Pty Ltd utilising the JK Drop Weight test apparatus.
